Theme for Year 2010: The Journey

Theme Verse – Hebrews 12:1-2 "Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us. Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God."

CBCR Youth Group Purpose Statement:

The purpose of the CBCR Youth group is to nurture the youth to become growing disciples of our Lord Jesus Christ in partnership with their parents.

The goals for CBCR Youth group (at least for the next 5 years) are:

1. To introduce the youth to the Christian faith and awaken their sensitivity to God’s presence and His saving grace through  Bible study, music, art, prayers, fellowship, service, outreach, and experiences.

2.  To provide spiritual companions to the youth and provide a safe place for them to grow, connect, and build the youth community .

3.  To help uncover the youth’s spiritual gifts and provide opportunities for them to use them in serving one another, their family, the church, and the world.  (e.g. weekly meeting, Parents’ Night, 30 Hour Famine in Feb., Summer Mission Project, Fall Community Service, etc.)
